I’m so glad that you are looking through my site and are considering Massage Therapy. I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2000. I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. I have been practicing Massage Therapy in Brantford Ontario since 2000. Prices25 minute treatment $40.00 40 minute treatment $55.00
55 minute treatment $75.00 70 minute treatment $87.00 I've never had a massage before - what should I expect?Almost all first time massage therapy clients are a little nervous - that is normal - you are about to have a professional you don't know touch your body. You will need to complete a health history form and a consent form. All RMT are required to have you complete these forms. I will then talk to you about your health history. I'm trying to determine what type of massage is best for you and to ensure that I'm working safely. For example, an individual who has had a car accident 4 days ago and is having significant neck pain is going to have a very gentle massage. However someone else who has chronic neck pain from daily computer work at their profession may benefit from deep pressure. Someone else who has just been diagnosed with high blood pressure is going to have a very different treatment then an individual who has been living with well controlled blood pressure for the past 5 years. This is why it is important to be thorough when completing your health history form - I want to be able to provide you with the right treatment for *you*. After going through your health history, I will explain what type of massage I would like to perform, why I think it is appropriate, how to lie on the massage table and what clothing to remove. I will also ask if you have any questions and request your consent to proceed with the treatment. If you are uncomfortable with any part of the treatment I have suggested - please tell me so that I can modify the treatment so you will be happy with your massage. Remember - it is your body and your massage - you can stop or alter it at any time. I won't be offended - promise! After I have received your consent to give you a treatment, I will leave the room and wash my hands. During this time you will get onto the table. I will then re-enter the room when you are ready, ensure that you are comfortable and proceed with the treatment. Treatments may include hot packs, ice, stretching and massage. After the treatment is completed I will leave the room to wash my hands and you will get dressed during this time. I may give you stretches or exercises to do at home after your treatment. I hope this helps you to understand what is going to happen on your first appointment. Please ask me any questions - I want you to be comfortable and happy with your massage.
